“Art is human kind’s moral compass”
In 2019, Fulcrum Point New Music Project (FP) presented the 21st Annual Peace Concert on International Human Rights day. During her speech honoring her brother and featured filmmaker Prashant Bhargava, Anurima Bhargava, Civil Rights Attorney and Commissioner to the U.S. Department of International Religious Freedom, stated that “Art is human kind’s moral compass” and that events like the Peace Concert are essential to changing our world for the better.
Through performances like the Annual Peace Concert, Fulcrum Point New Music Project fosters cultural exchange and community building by bringing together artists and audiences of diverse ethnicity, backgrounds, and cultures to illuminate understanding and tolerance. In addition, through FP's educational programs, people of all ages have opportunities to have access to music experiences building leadership, self esteem, and socialization skills. FP is pleased to be part of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's initiative to ensure equal access of art education to all. We work with Chicago Public Schools to bring music and diverse cultures to students, presenting fresh ways of thinking and communicating.
