Seminary co op with Hannah

Fulcrum Point New Music Project will host a multi-disciplinary event in the intimate setting of the Seminary Co-op Bookstore in Hyde Park. FP Founder and trumpet virtuoso Stephen Burns, Poet/Activist Kevin Coval, founder of Louder Than a Bomb and editor of The BreakBeat Poets, and Hannah B Higgins, Professor of Art History at the University of Illinois Chicago and author of several books on the avant-garde, will discuss the intersection of poetry, art, music, and Fluxus (a genre that blurs the boundaries between art and life). The program will also include musical performance, readings from poetic and literary texts, as well as Fluxus events. The audience will be invited into dialogue and participation with the artists.
