Join us for an exciting evening of live music and dance , with Fulcrum Point New Music Project and Thodos Dance Chicago celebrating their 10 years of collaboration. For one night only, this concert features works created and performed by these two groups together over the last decade in addition to a special world premiere. Featured is the critically acclaimed Aries, for twelve dancers, a piece about the Zodiac by Karlheinz Stockhausen for trumpet, a trio set to Pulitzer winner Shulamit Ran’s Eastwind, for flute, In a Vacuum a very special archival solo work choreographed by Sybil Shearer to Pictures at an Exhibition for piano.  Also featured is Sentient a dance for six set to virtuoso violin music by Fritz Kreisler and commissioned by and premiered at the Auditorium in February 2013.
